Water-based coatings

Waterbased technology is moving forward at a rapid pace. Most large scale industrial paint manufacturers have spent the last 10-20 years now developing and advancing their water based paint systems.

Some luctrative industrial paint contracts have gone to water based products over the past 10 years. Waterbased coatings are being used in some of the most aggressive environments in the world. For example water based protective coatings were recently (2010) specified for BP’s offshore platforms in Azerbaijan. These platforms are in the middle of the Caspian sea, just off the Russian coastline – if ever there was an environment that could test the coatings to the max, this is it.

Similar projects that have used water Based protective coatings:
An offshore wind farm in Germany
Army Vehicle Manufacturers
Submersible Pumps Manufacturer
Heavy lifting equipment - Log stackers and Reach-stackers
Commuter trains and underground trains
Transformers in Qatar
